Checklist to consider before you start your kitchen remodeling.

The countertop materials must be like quartz, granite or butcher block considering their durability, maintenance and appearance.

Backsplash material must complement the kitchen style and fit the budget.

For flooring choose a material that can handle spills, foot traffic, and wear and tear for example, tile, hardwood, vinyl or laminate. Styling should complement the overall design.

For long sustainability you must look for energy efficient appliances which have energy star rated that may reduce energy cost.  Faucets must be chosen with low flow technology to conserve water.

The final touches must include, choosing knobs, handles and pulls that match the kitchen style. You should plan for decorative elements like plants, wall art or any fixture.
